Freckles, Age Spots & Sun Damage
Through sun exposure and a lack of consistent sun protection, our skin will start to hyper-pigment which results in spots of dark pigmentation on the skin. In most people, this takes place over the face, neck, décolleté and hands. Sometimes these spots are due to an overproduction of melanin which leads to an uneven skin tone.
Sun damage occurs when the UVA & UVB rays from the sun’s radiation hit the skin. These UV rays damage the skin by breaking down collagen and elastin, creating dark spots through melanin production and can lead to wrinkles and more serious skin conditions such as melanoma. 80% of skin ageing is due to sun exposure. Limiting sun exposure and protecting your skin daily is key to any anti-ageing skin regime.
At Lift, we always recommend our clients to use a daily SPF to protect your skin and your treatment results!
