In my personal life, I am a fly by the seat of my pants type of person. Not for lack of trying but sometimes events sneak up on me. If I have the good fortune to be invited to a party, chances are I have called you the day before to ask if you have anything I can borrow to wear or if you have a hair straightener that plugs into a car charger because I am probably going to be getting ready in the parking lot outside the event.

This is one of the reasons why Dysport is a great product for me. Dysport is a neuromodulater in the same family as Botox and Xeomin. All three are similar in molecular makeup and their job is basically the same – relax the targeted muscle and help smooth fine lines and wrinkles for up to 4 months. The length of time they are effective is also similar – approximately 2 to 4 months, depending upon the area injected and your personal metabolic rate.

Why I prefer Dysport, however, is for the reasons mentioned earlier. It works fast. And for someone who isn’t great at planning ahead, this can be a lifesaver. Typically, I start to feel its effects within 2 to 3 days whereas it can take up to 7 days for Botox and Xeomin to start taking effect.

It should be said that all three products are excellent and ultimately it comes down to personal preference and what you and your doctor have determined will best assist you to reach your goals.

So, come by to talk to Dr. Hatlelid about what might be right for you. And should you be my sister by another mister when it comes to the planning gene then don’t worry, we have you covered! We will do our best to have you looking your amazing, refreshed self for that important soiree.
