After your skin is thoroughly cleansed and dried, we use a medical instrument to gently debride the skin of 3 to 4 weeks worth of skin cells. During this painless treatment, we are able to gently remove dead skin cells from the epidermal layer, as well as vellus hair (peach fuzz). FAQ

▸ Will the hair grow back thicker and or darker?

No, it is not possible to change the structure of the hair during a Dermaplaning treatment. The thickness and colour of the hair is determined by hormones and the blood supply to the follicle. Dermaplaning removes the hair at the upper layer of the epidermis and does not change the root structure in anyway. We cannot affect the colour or thickness of the follicle with Dermaplaning.

▸ Does it hurt?

Absolutely not! Dermaplaning is a very comfortable treatment and the best way to describe it is that it feels like a cat licking your face.

▸ How long will the skin stay smooth?

That depends upon your hair growth cycle. Clients usually have very smooth clear skin for a few weeks.

▸ How often should I get this done?

We see our regular Dermaplaning clients approximately every 4 to 8 weeks, depending upon their hair growth cycle and the reasons for the treatment.
